Safety Instructions

All boat operators have legal operating licenses issued by the Marine Department and have purchased third-party liability insurance. However, guests are responsible for their own personal and property safety during personal activities.

Regarding Wind Strength

The Observatory follows the Beaufort wind scale, which divides wind strength into thirteen levels. Level 0 represents no wind and calm seas, suitable for the use of inflatable boats. In addition, the observatory and news reports usually do not use wind force series to express wind force. They usually describe wind force in terms such as light to moderate, moderate to strong, and strong to strong.

Slight: refers to winds of level 1-2, calm sea surface, light wind, and average wind speed of 4-6 knots/hour.

Moderate: refers to winds of level 3-4, with few waves on the sea surface, and white-headed waves may be seen, and the average wind speed is 13-16 knots/hour.

Strong: refer to winds of level 6-7, white-headed waves appear on the sea surface, the average wind speed is 22-33 knots/hour, and the wind force is equivalent to the No. 3 wind signal.

Generally, water activities can be carried out in winds below level 3-4, but please note that you must have relevant water sports experience and skills before the wind is gentle. When winds reach fresh and strong levels, water activities should be cancelled.

Children under 13 years old Must be Accompanied by an Adult

Adults are responsible for overseeing the children's participation and ensuring they follow safety guidelines. This requirement not only enhances safety but also fosters family bonding and shared memories. Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our environment safe!

Eligibility Criteria and Health Considerations

not recommended for those who are pregnant, have heart disease, have poor health, or have sports injuries, especially knee/ankle/neck injuries, to engage in any water or high-risk activities.

Not Guarantee to Cross through Sea Arches & Sea Strait

The speedboat cave passing section is not a mandatory part of the four--park 4 sea arches volcano sightseeing tour (which means using a speedboat to sail through the gorge between Po Pin Chau and Hua Shan, as well as other sea caves in the itinerary) Based on the wind direction on the day and the professional judgment of the boat operator, this experience is not guaranteed for every itinerary. Safety is our first priority.

Travel Route Shift

If the customer and the boat operator negotiate to change the location, all changes in the itinerary have nothing to do with Splitdy Boat Company.
