You will spend up to 90 minutes on the water. The tour session takes 2 hours in total, including a 20 minutes briefing sessions and a 90 minutes speedboat ride.

We recommend that you dress for the conditions and simply be mindful that there will be some wind-chill factor as you are travelling at speed.  In summer don’t forget your sunblock and some people get concerned that it may be too cold in winter, however simply dress warmly and bring a warm hat and gloves and sunglasses are great year round.

At Splitdyboat, our speedboat tours are designed to keep you dry and comfortable, as we operate only in favorable weather and wave conditions. While our tours generally do not result in getting wet, we suggest sitting in the center seats if you have specific concerns about your hairstyle. We recommend wearing lightweight, comfortable layers, and while we provide life jackets for your safety, wearing one is not mandatory. Please keep in mind that participants typically bring their backpacks on board, so plan accordingly for your belongings.

We have complimentary locker facilities at Sai Kung Public School just prior to boarding the speedboat. However, we do recommend that you leave your valuables at school as these lockers are shared with the others on your boat tour. Unfortunately we can’t be held accountable for any loss that you incur while you are with us.

At Splitdyboat, we welcome you to bring your camera to capture the stunning scenery of Hong Kong's coastline. However, given the nature of our speedboat trips, we recommend the following for your safety and enjoyment:

1. We encourage you to ask our tour guide to take photos for you. This service reduces the risk of accidentally dropping your camera or phone into the sea.
2. If you choose to use your own camera, please ensure it's securely attached to your body or stored safely when the boat is in motion.
3. For the best photo opportunities, wait until the boat has fully stopped before taking pictures. Always check with your guide if it's a suitable time to do so.
4. We prioritize your safety and experience, so we ask that you keep both hands free to hold on during the ride.
5. To preserve your memories without worry, we offer a professional photo service which is free of charge. Our guide will capture highlights of your trip, which you can purchase afterwards.

If you have back pain, are pregnant, or have other medical conditions that could be affected by a speedboat ride, we advise against participating for your safety and comfort.

For those who may require assistance getting in and out of the boat, please ensure you have support from companions who are also booked on the trip. It's important that all passengers can hold onto the handrail and brace themselves with their feet throughout the ride.
